Our Mission is to collaboratively identify, define, advocate and connect community resources that ensure and enhance a complete array of services to reduce homelessness in Troup County. We believe that the problem of homelessness can be solved.
The LaGrange - Troup County Homeless Coalition is a diverse membership group of volunteers, homeless service provider agencies, homeless persons, advocates, and concerned citizens committed to ending homelessness through education, advocacy and coordinated services. Since 2011, we have made an effort to provide proper services to each and every homeless person, at risk individual, or at risk family when needing assistance. We also provide a forum for exchanging information between member agencies and homeless individuals.
Addressing the Issue
Many factors may cause homelessness including a health crisis, a lost job, a mismatch between income and housing costs, family violence, or a transition from an institutional setting back into a community.
We achieve our mission and vision through advocacy, technical assistance, and building public awareness. LTCHC has been but one of the voices for people experiencing homelessness and for service providers here in Troup County.
